Northern california vacation rental: whale watching on the beach at crescent city

The photos depict these giant Humpback whales who love to hang out along the shore and can be seen from the deck of the Battery Point Beach House. They can be seen during their migrations as they cavort all along the coast. The view deck of our Crescemt City rental house can be as good a spot as any to whale watch because more than one kind of whale seems to like our sheltered coastline. Watch patiently for that puff of "steam" when whales "blow" signaling the presence of a pod.
