While the Battery Point Light House is a functioning lighthouse and the exterior is lit year round to provide a great nighttime view, special lights for the holidays are added in December. The view from the deck of the Battery Point Beach House Rental features the Lighthouse and is dramatic at night, year around. The beacon flashes to signal ships its location. There is also the Point Saint George Light further up the coast and out to sea. It can be seen from the viewpoint at the end of Pebble Beach Drive. It was reactivated in recent years.
