LOW TIDES DISPLAY SEALIFE LIKE AN AQUARIUM
Tides
can fluctuate as much as 10 feet depending on the phases of
the sun and moon. It's a short walk from the deck of the Battery
Point Beach House rental to these tide pools along the shore
formed by the lowest of these tides. Tide tables are published
in the paper. There are tiny fish in this picture although web
resolution limitations prevent seeing them. They are also well
camouflaged and it's like solving a puzzle to pick them out
even looking for them in person. The picturesque Battery
Point Lighthouse always dominates the landscape, inviting
you to visit while the tide is out. Tours of the museum
there are scheduled almost daily during late spring, summer
and early fall months. Anytime you can walk over is worth the
effort.
