SANDY BEACH SOUTH ON 101
This picture, taken from the Crescent City Harbor, shows some of
the sandy beach Del Norte County has available. Endert's Beach is
farther south and part of the same stretch. Just a short drive from
the Battery Point Beach House rental on US 101 takes you there.
This winter scene, taken after a rain, shows a kite just being hauled
in from a very strong wind. This is a key surfing area and Endert's
Beach is very popular with beachgoers. Access is easy.
SAINT GEORGE SANDY BEACH
Just a short drive out Pebble Beach Drive from the Vacation Rental House is Point Saint George (not shown), which is it's own spectacle. Along the way you'll pass a long stretch of sandy, gradual sloping, beach, easily accessible. This photo was taken on a very windy day right after a winter rainstorm. Horses can be ridden on the beach and there is surf fishing. There is some surfing and bathing when season and weather are right. The ocean view is beautiful and sometimes there are whales to be sighted just offshore. Don't come to Crescent City without visiting this area
