PAUL BUNYAN AND THE BLUE OX AT TREES
OF MYSTERY
These massive statues on Highway 101 just a few minutes drive south
from the Battery Point Beach House rental mark The Trees of Mystery.
The "Trees", as they are sometimes known, rank among the most visited
tourist spots in the State of California. There is an extensive Gift
Shop and tours through this unique Redwood Grove are available. Weddings
have even been held there in the forest. Just about 15 miles south of
Crescent City on 101, the Trees are only five minutes from the Klamath
River where there is plenty to see and do: Indian Salmon Jerky, Jet
Boat rides up the Klamath, Steelhead and Salmon fishing in season and
the town of Klamath.
